TKB are a powerhouse sandwich and bakery known for bold flavors and delicious bites!  They are ranked among the top 10 restaurants in the USA (according to Yelp!), and have a slew of other accolades that follow.  Burgeoning is commissioned to design a new ground-up facility which includes a new restaurant space and commercial kitchen, bakery center, bar, outdoor park, and warehouse/distribution areas on the interior.

Our objective is to create a unique, wonderful, sunlit space which showcases a unique desert gem.  The Coachella Valley is renowned for its music festivals and agriculture, and the new facility takes impression from these unique cultural and agrarian uses.  The building is uniquely designed to provide shade during hot spring/summertime months, while also celebrating indoor-outdoor connections with large glass expanses, and blended flooring and vegetation.  Overall, the design is a truly special nod to 1960s California architecture that is translated into a 21st-century fabric.
